found löve and everything changed

Date : ~2021 (approx, before i started posting on github)

so my laptop back then was ROUGH. like 4gb of ram, windows 7, the whole thing would wheeze if i opened too many chrome tabs. roblox studio was starting to get heavy and i wanted to make actual standalone games, not just stuff locked inside roblox. thats when i stumbled onto löve (love2d)

and oh man. it was PERFECT for me. its this tiny lightweight framework, just lua, runs on basically anything. no bloated engine eating my ram, no launcher, just me and a main.lua file and a black window i could draw whatever i wanted into. i could actually make games on my potato laptop

what really got me though was the community. everyone was so chill and helpful, and löve kind of taught me how programming actually works underneath. input handling, drawing to a screen, loading images and sound, the game loop. it wasnt drag and drop anymore, it was ME writing every line. this is the thing that turned me from "kid who messes with roblox" into someone who actually codes. löve is the foundation of everything i do now honestly
