the other thing i do - guitar

okay so this blog is mostly code but theres a whole other half of me that isnt coding at all, and thats music. i play guitar. electric, acoustic, AND classical, depending on my mood. its honestly the thing that keeps me sane when a project isnt working and im about to throw my laptop out the window

ive started playing open gigs which is TERRIFYING and amazing at the same time. like theres nothing quite like playing in front of actual people and having it land. ive also been writing my own stuff, original compositions, just messing around with progressions until something clicks. its the exact same feeling as coding honestly, that moment where a thing finally WORKS and clicks into place. whether its a chord progression or a physics engine, the joy is the same

i think thats why i cant separate the two. people ask if im a "programmer" or a "musician" like i gotta pick one. nah. im just someone who likes making things, and sometimes thats in lua and sometimes its on six strings. also classical guitar is stupidly hard and i respect anyone who plays it well
