a pomodoro timer, but in a game engine - podo

made PODO, a pomodoro timer built in löve2d that runs on the web. yes, i built a productivity timer in a GAME engine, and honestly why not, löve is comfy and i can make it look and feel exactly how i want. you set your sessions and time with keybinds, hit space to play or pause, and switch between pomo, short break and long break modes
the nice bit is it actually handles the full pomodoro flow for you, when the main timer ends it automatically rolls into a short break, and when that ends it comes back to the main timer and completes one session. it just keeps the rhythm going so you dont have to babysit it, which is the entire point of pomodoro, you want to think about the work not the timer. i tuned the loop until it felt natural to just start it and forget it.
this is very on brand for me, i keep building my own versions of tools i already use. flowlog for tracking my time, podo for focusing it, a music player to work to. instead of downloading someone's pomodoro app i built one in the engine i know best, and now it works exactly the way i want and i understand every line of it. thats the recurring theme of basically my whole catalogue at this point, if i use it enough, eventually i just build my own
