starting an android studio - zenvoq labs & framepdf

Date : 07-2026

okay, brand new thing, like a-few-days-old new. i started Zenvoq Labs, an android-focused studio, the whole idea being small, focused mobile products built and shipped fast, kotlin to play store without a ton of agency overhead. after a year of compilers and shells and infra and AI tooling, coming back to "make an app a normal person taps on their phone" feels almost refreshing. different constraints, different discipline, actual mobile UX instead of a terminal or a game canvas

the first app i'm building is FramePDF. it's a document scanner, you point your phone at a document, it scans, crops and lets you sign it into a clean PDF, and the whole point is it's fully offline with no account required. that constraint is the entire pitch honestly. so many scanner apps want to upload your documents to some cloud and make you sign in and hit you with subscriptions, and your documents are exactly the kind of thing that should never leave your device. so FramePDF just... doesn't. it does the job locally and shuts up. very on brand for me after building a whole no-database chat app for the same reason

nothing's released yet, i'm still heads-down building it, but i wanted to mark the start because this feels like a real new direction and not just another repo. it also ties a bunch of threads together, the privacy-by-architecture thing from stacks against you, the ship-small-and-focused thing i learned from mimicode, and the "actually put it in front of humans" thing i've been chasing since kochitransit. let's see if i can take something all the way to the play store. that's the goal
